In a Nutshell
Someone once said that 'we have extraordinary coded within us, waiting to be released". This philosophy guides me in my own personal life, as well as in my profession. As a mother, I know it's with some anxiety that we submit our young into the hands of institutions and it's core values. As an educator, I am committed to building a trust between myself and each student so that they know that they are as important to me as my own children. In addition, I will uphold the vision of the district and that of my administration in ensuring that your student's educational needs are met. Educating can never be 'just a job'. It is a process by which nations are built, icons are established, ideas are awakened, and dreams are realized. We are all lifelong learners forever striving to reach our full potential.
To briefly introduce myself, this year I will begin my third year in Fulton County School District. Prior to moving to Fulton County, I was employed by the Henry County School System which is where I began my career in education. I have a Bachelor of Science degree and am in the process of obtaining a Masters of Art in Education.
I have two children who are enrolled in Fulton County Schools and two daughters who attend Columbus State University. I enjoy writing, photography, and spending time with my family. My favorite book is The Bluest Eyes by Toni Morrison.
